Episode: 00154 Released on April 10, 2023
Description: Starting from the ground up is often the best way to learn and this week’s guest is no stranger to that. Ritu Gill joins Jason on this episode to discuss getting started in law enforcement and open source intelligence (OSINT). Ritu explains how she sought out and seized opportunities in her career that led her to where she is today. She breaks down what is and what isn't OSINT and gives tips to those interested in getting into open source intelligence (hint: go beyond Googling). Ritu routinely instructs on OSINT topics and created the website OSINT Techniques. Ritu has also worked as an Open Source Intelligence Analyst for Canadian law enforcement agencies from 2007 to the present.

CHALLENGE: There are Easter eggs in one of the tables of the Excel chapter that Jason wrote for the IACA textbook. First-person to email us at [email protected] about what the Easter eggs are will receive a $20 gift card from us. Happy hunting!
