In this week’s episode, Joseph (Joe) Ryan takes us through his transition from military intelligence analysis to local police / crime analysis, as well as his involvement with police / sworn associations. He discusses his work with the Northwest Regional Crime Analyst Network (NORCAN) as their President and talks about the importance of learning from those around you and having advocates. Joe’s badge stories involve gang violence investigations, a robbery series, and a serial arsonist. Joseph is also getting into bullet casing analysis through training with the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN). Joseph is currently a crime analyst at Auburn (WA) Police Department.
