“The word, “incarnation” followed me around for the year preceding my pilgrimage. It followed me because it was trying to convince me that I am one. I am one and guess what if you have a body, so are you. So it might surprise you that I had to be reminded of this. .....Somewhere along the way, I had conflated my thoughts about life with life. And that’s when Flannery’s voice unapologetically slammed open the door of my bobblehead and said,“Your beliefs will be a light by which you see, but they will not be what you see, and they will not be a substitute for what you see.”
