When we ourselves are full of doubt, lack confidence, and are in constant self betrayal, we become very egocentric (selfish). This is the truth of human tendency. Passion and life's purpose is overrated. When you direct your focus on cultivating self love and self respect, only then can you move towards providing service to others. It is when you are extending yourself to better humanity that you find deeper meaning and purpose in who you are and why you do what you do. Dare to be the first rate version of yourself versus being the second rate version of somebody else. Shift your focus inward.
