The Alabama Freshwater Fishing report is your best resource for the Lake Guntersville Fishing Report, Weiss Lake Fishing Report, Lake Eufaula Fishing Report, and all the creeks, rivers, and reservoirs in between.

Deer season is in and the fall bite is in full swing on Alabama’s lakes and rivers. This week’s episode gives you the skinny on how to capitalize on cooling temps and to catch fat bass.

First up we have Clayton Batts on Lake Eufala. Clayton is still finding fish on the lake’s deep ledges, and he gives us the low-down on how to catch big largemouth and spotted bass on the Chattahoochee River system. Duck hunters will be interested to hear Clayton’s report on the goose migration on this important waterfowl lake, and we also talk about keeping warm on chilly fall boat rides.

Next up we talk to Peter Jordan with the Lost Angler Fly Shop. Peter is catching everything from crappie to redfish on-the-fly on the Mobile-Tensaw Delta’s tidal rivers, and is getting ready for the first ever Jimbo Meador Fly Tournament. This tourney is a great chance to target red fish on the Gulf Coast, and proceeds will be benefiting Mobile Baykeeper.

Finally, we wrap up with Dip McMillian. The fall bite has been good to Dip, and this week he gives us his strategies for success on the Mobile-Tensaw Delta’s inland lakes and rivers; strategies that will also be relevant for anglers targeting the Tombigbee and Alabama Rivers further inland.
