This week is part two of a two part series I am doing on reflecting on my work and lessons learned in Timor as I transition out of my role as Country Director there. In today’s episode I share three more obstacles I faced as a leader and some suggestions on how you can overcome them or prevent them altogether. These include regular receiving feedback from your direct reports, relinquishing control and ensuring others can pursue things the way they want to as long as the outcome is the same, and getting out to visit the community on a regular basis. As with last week’s episode this is a lot of information, so if you want to receive the major takeaways from this week’s episode sign up for the Supplemental Sundays bi-weekly email by July 22nd. If you are already signed up, then you’re good to go!
