On Episode 44 we chat to Irish Agegrouper Steven Moody
Growing up Steven enjoyed every sport but enjoyed rugby most
As Steven got older he discovered playing senior mens rugby as a small guy hurts as you get squashed a lot
After a period of years out of sport, Steven had an ill fated return to senior rugby where he hoped his new well rounded frame would see him as the squasher rather than the squashee .... alas no - he injured his back badly - told to retire from sport
Steven then took up running - he completed top 10 marathons in the world to raise over €100k for the Irish Cancer Society
Steven took up triathlon which included
- representing Ireland in Vancouver in the AG WCs
- Qualifying for 70.3 WC x 2
- Completing 9 IM, 12 70.3, countless sprint and olympic
Steven like Multisport so much he quit his high paid job as a soulless and mercenary IT consultant to be an all round good guy/Tri Coach (won Triathlon Ireland Coach of the year in 2017.
