Today on After the Crisis, nonprofit founder and compassion educator Michelle Fabulich Hodgson shares how the loss of her loss began a journey of empowering others through compassion with the development of her nonprofit organization, Children Helping Children. Michelle Fabulich Hodgson is a former Dekalb County Teacher of the Year, Founder and Executive Director of the Atlanta based nonprofit, Children Helping Children, Co-Founder, of the National Women’s Movement, S.H.E. Spiritual Healing Energy, and mother of five. Michelle has committed her life to understanding children and celebrating their divine strengths and gifts.  Providing support for kids of every background and their unique mark they all make on the planet, as well as creating ripples of love through the tens of thousands of service projects she and her youth philanthropists have initiated and gifted to the city of Atlanta.

She has over 30 years of experience in the field of education, featured on the cover of both Best Self and My Buckhead magazine, highlighted in REDBOOK’s WE LEARN FROM HER, showcased on CBS 46 and Atlanta & Company, the recipient of GiGi’s Playhouse’s Skate Award for her work with children with special needs, and honoree of the coveted George Bush’s Daily Points of Light Award for her years of service in the nonprofit sector, Michelle still says her favorite part will always be the connections and impact that are collectively made when working with children and women for the greater good.
