Welcome back to After the Bell; your weekly education podcast from Connex Academy.

Today we have a special podcast focusing on the launch of the iQTS. The international Qualified Teacher Status (iQTS) is a new teaching qualification backed by the Department for Education (DfE) to enable trainee teachers based outside England to gain qualified teacher status (QTS). The DfE has approved fourteen providers.

I am joined today by Professional Geraint Jones, Executive Director from Coventry University’s National Institute of Teaching and Education, and Andy Bridge who is a Deputy Head Teacher, Andy also teaches and assesses on various iPGCE programs.
