Dr. Nontando Hadebe a child of parents from different ethnicities and nationalities, born a Catholic, but who in her mid-twenties took a ecumenical sojourn, visiting other churches that enriched her life greatly.  Eventually, Ignatian Spirituality, a justice focused parish and experiencing Catholic Social Teaching in praxis brought her back to the Catholic Church.

She began her working life in the legal profession, where her encounters with those at the margins in the form of survivors and victims of domestic violence compelled her to study theology and psychology.

Dr. Hadebe reminds us of our inherent dignity as image bearers of good that is not reliant on our gender, race, social economic status etc., but wholly on the fact that we are created of and by God. Her conviction borne out of her study and exegesis of scripture has inspired her to work with women so that they may too may embrace their divine goodness.

Dr. Hadebe also shares about a new book that she co-edited of stories by African women (and one man) sharing the impact of Covid-19 on their lives. We also hear about the next exciting chapter of her life and her dreams for the African woman and all women.
