Next Episode: An Invitation to Introspection and Change as Church
Leocardie Lushombo, a Congolese nun, theological ethicist, peace advocate, grassroots social worker, and womanist decry the violence and wars in Africa. She praises the courageous witness of some Church leaders in the Congo especially Archbishop Munzihirwa who was reportedly killed by the forces of the Alliance of Democratic Forces (ADF) when the rebels captured Bukavu in 1996. She decries the use of rape and women's bodies as weapons of war and calls for greater political participation of women at all levels of society through theological and civic education. She invites us to a new culture of peace and love for a new and inclusive society where everyone lives in peace with God, nature, and their fellow men and women.
