How many times do you feel completely stuck with your creative pursuits? The problem is that you are likely too narrowly focused with your creativity and are simply “over training”.

----more----

I believe that every one of us is creative. As such, to grow as a creative we have to treat our creativity like a muscle. Maya Angelou once said, “You can't use up creativity, the more you use, the more you have.”. This is ultimately true in my experience. BUT that doesn’t mean that our creativity comes in just one form.

If you think of creativity as being similar to a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets. But if you only train one muscle, the rest of your body gets out of whack. That’s why it’s important to practice many different types of creativity, or creativity cross training. Don’t believe me, give a listen to the episode and we’ll talk some more after!
