Eric Christiansen is a filmmaker and trauma survivor who has won seven Southwestern Emmy Awards. He also calls himself a Hope Ambassador and inspires others to speak up and speak out about mental health and illness.
Eric discusses his own personal experiences with trauma and alcohol abuse, and overcoming these life-long challenges through his faith in God and a strong support system.
Eric also makes personal connections to those who are represented in his films and demonstrates the need to highlight their successes more so than the traumatic events that disrupted any stability they had in their lives. His films offer hope to others, and in the midst of this pandemic, he is working on sharing the ways humanity is adapting.
