Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is the most common cause of hypothyroidism. Despite that fact, it is dramatically under diagnosed. Research has shown us that a proper diagnosis is critical not only for symptoms management but also to slow disease progression (because it is possible!). Today we discuss how the gut microbiome and oxidative stress are involved with Hashimoto’s and also explore how symptoms are unrelated to TSH.
