Mary is a real estate investor based in the Tampa Bay area (like Lauren). She grew up in Florida, attended UF and got a degree in Education. Mary taught for 7 years in Europe and Asia, and for 5 years in the US before changing careers to advising medical students. When Mary was 34, she had her first child, and quickly realized that she and her husband weren’t prepared for retirement, and they wanted a different life than the grind of a 9-5. They decided to invest in real estate and build up a portfolio that would support them in retirement and pay for their kids’ college.
