Our guests today are James and Emily from Rethink the Rat Race. James and his wife, Emily, became FI-curious in 2016 and were quickly drawn in by real estate investing. The two of them bought their first rental property in 2017 and within two short years, they had 10 units. These 10 units generated enough cash flow for them to quit their 9-5 jobs and travel perpetually in their late 20s. Since then, James and Emily have focused on transitioning a few of their units into short-term rentals and creating systems that allow them to travel while also managing their portfolio.
