This week on Activista Rise Up, my guest Charlene Walker, Executive Director of Faith in New Jersey, discusses how her work as a social justice organizer is based on the simple idea that we must engage in "Radical Love," centering the movement for social and economic justice on the experiences and on the leadership of those impacted the most by racial inequality and poverty; our youth of color, undocumented immigrants and their children. Her message of transformational and radical love is an important one now more than ever as we begin a new journey to rebuild after 4 years of bigotry under Trump, and we move towards organizing to demand that our political system engages in the process to end systemic racism and its violence against Black and brown bodies.
