Our guest this week on the Absolutely Write podcast is 2-time Olympian, 9-time National Champion, Arjuna Awardee & Badminton legend, Aparna Popat.
Aparna retired as India’s no.1 player – remained undefeated at the National Championships. She was one of the 17 participants to be selected from around the world and the only Indian to be selected for the Global Sports Mentoring Programme 2012, an initiative by the US Dept of State, promoted by Hillary Clinton, former US Secretary of State and Espn. This prestigious programme was aimed at empowering women and girls through sport.

Today she gives back to Indian sport and society through coaching, mentoring, as a tv commentator
and sports analyst, TEDx speaker, member of various Government committees and previously served
as the Executive Director of the Olympians Association of India.
