In this 3rd part of interview techniques, we will introduce situational questions

eg, Tell us about a time you did something well?
- were a leader
- worked in a team
- were criticised
- did poorly at your job

In this video we discuss how to approach these kinds of questions using the STAR or SCARR approach.

There will be a clear focus on anaesthetics and critical care, but the principles covered will be relevant to all specialty training college interviews, and even to trainees applying for resident and internship positions.
All opinions expressed here are own, and based on our experiences, and are not reflective of our employers or our associated training programs.

Please refer to ANZCA, hospital and training network-specific documents and information for the most up to date information and guidance on the application process.
