In a wide ranging discussion, director Justin Kurzel and screenwriter Shaun Grant discuss what inspired them to make a film about this real life tragedy, the themes they sought to explore, as well as the similarities and differences to their earlier films Snowtown and The True History of the Kelly Gang.
