Until a couple of weeks ago I had never heard of 'Jeffing' – named after Jeff Galloway who I understand introduced the running world to the concept of running and walking and still achieving great times.

I heard about it on the Bad Boy running podcast when a guy described how he had used Jeffing to run a sub- three hour marathon and qualify for Boston. He ran for two minutes and then walked for 30 seconds.

I was intrigued and decided I would give it a go during my next road race which was the Brighton half marathon on February 26th. I decided to double up on the schedule and therefore run four minutes and walk one minute from the get go.

I recorded on the run and this podcast contains a 15 minute summary of how I got on.
I don't want to give too much away but needless to say I was surprised and delighted with what happened.
