Yesterday - Easter Sunday - I had a stand at the inaugural Cornwall Running Show organised by the fabulous duo of Bys Vyken Events and Tracy Waite Personal Training

A big thanks to Dave, Sally and Tracy for fabulous organisation and a great day.

Big thanks also to everyone who bought a copy of 12 Business Lessons from Running an Ultra Marathon - all proceeds to Children's Hospice South West including any sales via Amazon

And to a shout out to some of the stand holders I met, some of whom I hope will be coming on this podcast and sharing their expertise - so good to meet you Umberto from Absolute 360 who Edward Chapman told me makes the best Running socks which I now own, John from Mad Hatter Sports who specialise in swim run events, Martin and Sarah from Whythra Running tours who’s Arc 50 recce runs I’ll be joining in the autumn, James from Trench who’s foot cream I shall be trying out soon and Abichal who publishes the Ultra Marathon magazine.

I had my podcast recording kit there and I recorded eight short interviews with some amazing people from the running community. There is some background noise. So you’re going to hear from:

Carrie Glenister - 2022 - so running 2 marathons and 2 ultras with 1 kidney - Carrie's Just Giving Page and Facebook Blog

Tracy Waite - Personal Trainer but through the waite room CIC runs a walking group and a Physical Activity Community (PAC) group for men

Dave Bettens who is running his first ultra this year - MudCrew’s south west traverse

Sian Longthorpe who as a guest speaker was going to share a transgender running story and is part of the Asics Frontrunner team

Becky Harris who is the big hand marshal at the Heartlands Parkrun

Craig Beall who is running the London Marathon for Tommys the leading UK Charity researching the causes and prevention of pregnancy complications, miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth and neonatal death.

Janssen - who casually revealed as he was buying a book that on Friday he ran the Manchester to Liverpool 50 mile Trans-Pennine Way Ultra - this might be a Good Friday run as next year it’s on Good Friday April 7th

Kathryn Marsh - who went for a run in November 1st 20

The Running 44@60 podcast began as a learning / motivational tool for host Trevor Lee in his quest to run a first ever ultra - the Classic Quarter in 2021

It now has over 100 episodes and is aimed at those thinking about and committing to their first ever ultra.

Trevor wrote a book : 12 Business Lessons from Running an Ultra Marathon - all proceeds go to the Children's Hospice South West
