Hey, y'all - Joel here. Listening back to these entries is a little stressful for me. Usually listening back to these podcasts brings me a large amount of joy as they are aural time capsules of some of the fonder times of my life. However, while I did have a good time on this trip by in large, the subtext is that I was pushing towards a big deadline for the band. Even though everything ended up being fine, listening back transports me to the emotional headspace I was in while I attempted to finish a piano score on a time crunch, having never really successfully written a piano score before. Or maybe it's just that I am currently working on a very similar project. Who knows?
