Welcome to the 25th Hour Podcast – where successful business owners talk about the magic of creating a 25th hour every day! We've all been there - your calendar is in great shape. Your to-do list is done. You are in the zone . . . All your balls in the air are being easily juggled. Then....something changes, and suddenly chaos reigns! This podcast will help you learn to up-level your time management strategies so you can get back in control of your day – and make an extra hour, your 25th hour, a reality - every day.

Today’s guest is Lori Eisel. Lori is passionate about helping women achieve financial security. She bridges the discomfort gap between managing monthly bills and managing an investment portfolio, taxes, and estate plans. Writer, speaker, and former OSU adjunct faculty, Lori offers highly skilled financial advice on a flat fee, hourly, and retainer fee basis.

In this episode, we discuss how to leverage your biological prime time to get more done, and why you should only say “Yes” when you mean it. Listen in to learn how setting expectations can boost your productivity and save you time.

Time Management Strategies for Success:

BPT - "An important thing for me was identifying my biological prime time (when is best for me to do certain things) and keeping that time sacred."3 Things - "Instead of getting overwhelmed by your entire to-do list, pick and prioritize the three most important things that you have to get done today, so you can go home and feel good about what you've accomplished."Boundaries - "I’ve learned to be proactive about setting boundaries and expectations with clients. Deciding up front how we want things to look and what we’re going to do (or not do) saves a lot of time, because we’re focusing on the things that we really should be doing."Delegate - "I think that communication is so important, and also having a process, having a process for how to delegate and collaborate with my associates - so everybody knows what to do, or at least has a starting point."Checklist - "When we do annual client reviews, my associate will have a checklist of things to do to prepare. So she goes through the checklist and does everything on her list, and then she turns it over to me for the final review before I meet with the client."

Here’s how Lori likes to spend her 25th Hour:

Walk  - "[My friend] just bought a house. We put our tennis shoes on and walked down to her house and took a look, then walked back and hit a coffee shop and then went back to the office." Leave Early - "On a recent Friday afternoon, close to the end of the day, I realized that we’d actually completed all the tasks that needed to be done and prepared everything for the following week. So we decided to leave early and spend some time with our families."
