No matter what time of year it is, most of us have a lot of negative thoughts about our bodies. We’ve been told in countless ways that our bodies are not acceptable as they are, that they need fixing, and that we should be deeply ashamed of them.

This is especially true during the summer. Since the early 60’s, the idea of getting a “summer body” has purposely made us feel inadequate, implying that if we’re not toned, tanned, fit and ready for the summer, there is something wrong with us and our bodies. And for many of us, this anxiety and shame is causing us to miss out on some of the best moments of life.

In today’s podcast, I’m talking about how easy it is to believe the thoughts that say your body isn’t acceptable (in the summer or anytime!) and sharing thoughts and tools to help you see your body in a whole new way.
