Today my guest is Erik Davis.
Erik is an author, podcaster, award-winning journalist, and popular speaker based in San Francisco. I reached out to Erik after reading his latest book “High Weirdness” - an exploration of the emergence of a new psychedelic spirituality in the work of Philip K. Dick, Terence McKenna, and Robert Anton Wilson.
While we don’t talk about the book much directly, we cover some exciting territory: Mormonism & cultural lineage, relating to “cults” in a playful, theatrical manner, designing new psychedelic religions, and how to best navigate the Weird.
This is one of my favorite conversations so far. Enjoy!
