Dragnet began as a radio series in 1949, created, produced and starring Jack Webb in direct collaboration with the Los Angeles Police Department. It was the great grandpapa of all police procedurals and laid the foundation for decades of copaganda to come.
In 1987 the world was graced with this wacky comedy version starring Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks and in 2021, we talked about it.
