“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

That question has been asked of your students since before they can remember. By the time they hit junior high their “answer” informs the classes they need to take to get to whatever it is they think they are chasing. There’s so much pressure for students to know exactly what they want to do and it’s unproductive and unhelpful.

As a youth worker you have the unique opportunity to speak about the bigger picture of following Jesus in any occupation. You can also release some of the pressure that your students are facing and help them discover their identity in Jesus first. But all that takes a lot of nuance and understanding, so join today’s conversation with Gustavo Santos and Brittany Ratelband as they talk about what vocation is, how it intersects with the Church, and so much more!

You can get in touch with us to talk more about our vocation presentation/curriculum or the job postings for vocational ministry across Canada or even to contribute to this conversation! The best thing to do is to email Jeremy at [email protected]
