Last week we started talking about the California Indians.In today’s episode, we are going to focus on the first people who live in the green forests, rolling foothills, high alpine meadows and majestic mountains in the Sierra Nevada Region. There were plenty of game to hunt, fish to catch, and seeds, berries and acorns to eat. There were ten tribes in the region, and three of them were the Northern, Central and Southern Miwuk.
