Quality is Free - What is Quality and Why it is Mission Critical

Yes, it is.....  Quality is indeed free. 

Most of us have an idea of what it is when we hear the term quality or high-quality.  And it's reasonable to assume that most of us have very different ideas about what it is when the notion comes up in conversation.

There is an entire professional discipline dedicated to quality.  Many have heard about Six Sigma, or Statistical Process Control.  Total Quality Management or TQM was all the buzz in some circles a few years ago.
