Jay and Clifton have a fun and enlightening conversation with Sean McCauley of Rainy Days, discussing the birth and death of Rainy Days, the murder of the Orange County punk rock scene, the weight of being in a Christian band, losing faith, and finding life.

After the conversation, Sean sent several sets of recordings, from which songs have been included throughout the episode, including a recording of Decaf (a side project coffee-house precursor to Rainy Days), an early live recording or Rainy Days at Rosewood, a live radio performance for KUCI (which has some clipping but has been cleaned up as much as possible), rough recordings later songs he labeled "Rainy Days Second Wave," and some songs he has recorded more recently.

1984 in Huntington

Lyrics, Sean McCauley

I remember when velcro shoes were in

I remember all so clearly now

I remember when — 1984 in Huntington

1984 in Huntington...

I remember when velcro shoes were in

and Hannibal still brought the A-Team glory

Duran Duran was hot, and He-Man still fought

Skeletor by the power of Greyskull

When did we get so old? We used to be so bold

Mom told us to have fun, and we did but now we're done

Our world has moved on, and now it's just a song

and a story to be told; tell me when did we get old?

The Voltron Force was "Go," and so was GI Joe

and Lady J was sexier than Scarlett any day

And oh, how we cried! When Optimus Prime died

And we cried when Goose died, too!

(Chorus)

When Molly was in Pink, "Prettier" I think

than any nineties girl will ever understand, yeah-ho

When Reagan reigned supreme, the Cube was being Gleamed

and Momma took away my Whitesnake album

(Refrain)
