Episode #263

In this episode, Ryan dives into the meaning behind Ephesians 2:10 - that we are God's masterpiece. He explains how God uses the circumstances and challenges in our lives to shape us into something great for His glory. Though we may not understand it in the moment, God has a purpose and plan to use everything to prepare us for the good works He has already laid out for us. Ryan encourages listeners to look back and see how God has developed their character and trust that the process isn't over yet.

God is interested in who we are becoming, not just what we are doing. Ryan compares it to an artist fashioning a beautiful sculpture out of a rough block of wood. The finished masterpiece will point to the artist, not itself. Similarly, as God fashions us through life's difficulties, the process transforms us and brings Him glory. Ryan reminds us to trust God's good plans during hardship and continue becoming more like Christ.

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are his workmanship (masterpiece), created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 – You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all.  And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
