Ben Erikson is a Producer, Mixer, and Drummer based out of Toronto, Canada - but he wasn't always!
I first met Ben as we both came up in the music production scene of Victoria, BC, Canada, and was lucky enough to work with Ben many times. So when he told me he was moving to Toronto a few years ago, I was first and foremost dismayed to be loosing access to such a talented engineer, but also excited to see what new opportunities would arise as he entered an entirely new city on the other side of the country.
To say that Ben leveraged himself into a new network in a bigger way, and faster, than I expected would be an understatement. Ben just finished engineering an album alongside the likes of GGGarth Richardson, and is currently putting the finishing touches on his new studio location in Toronto!
If you're a band or musician considering moving to a new city or bigger market - this episode is for you.
