The holidays are coming and we all need to get things out of the house before new toys come into the house! This is the first year we involved the kids.

We do it in a couple of phases so that the kids don't get emotional.

Have clear parameters with your kids.

Don't set your expectations high and leave them to do it. Don't micromanage. The goal is to get them ready to part with their stuff. If you start stepping in, it will not go well.
