Every year, we plan our costumes early. That way we can start buying or making things early.

Go to your local warehouse and buy your candy in bulk early. Get candy that isn't wrapped in Halloween wrapping. Only buy the type of candy your family can eat if there are leftovers.

Plan your route in advance.

Keep the excess candy to use as treats or rewards.
