The shooting of Old Yeller and the Kristi Noem story - Grown ups do hard things!

 it's hard to believe how stupid and insensitive and sometimes just plain ignorant even those people who are influencers and should know better often are.

The news pundits and commentators suggested that Governor Kristi Noem from the state of South Dakota obviously should not be considered for being a vice presidential candidate or perhaps anything else because in her book she admitted that she shot her bad dog.

Well if you are old you probably remember one of the saddest of the Walt Disney films. You have to go back to the 50s and I remember the deep sadness of watching the film of a wonderful old dog that the family called Old Yeller

Of course the final scene is deeply disturbing and I actually went back and found it on YouTube and I was thinking about including it but probably better not.

But Kristi Noem needs no defense from anybody as she was illustrating one of the great truths not only of life on the ranch... But indeed life itself
