I guess better late than never is at least better. And we sought to make it a commemoration and a bit of a celebration. The war in Vietnam came to an official end of US conflict 50 years ago this year ... and about a year and a half after the end of conflict, the war itself came to an end as the South Vietnamese were defeated and for all practical purposes the war was lost by all.

We took time in our church and joined with many others around the country in finally welcoming the Vietnam veterans and survivors home and also honoring the families and friends of them, and of course remembering those who didn't come back ... and we sought to finally welcome them all home. To give them a thank you and the tribute they finally and fully deserve.

This is just a brief story about what happened yesterday.
