The month of May is the National Mental Health Awareness month. This week we have two guest on our podcast.  Stacy Green from The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and  Gayle Mallore who is a licensed Master Social Worker. Both guest work in our local school systems and have years of experience working with children.  This week we go in depth on mental wellness and discuss the effects of our current situation. The stresses of the COVID19 will cause increased anxiety and it may be extremely hard for some people to cope with it. During this important conversation we learn a little bit about mental wellness, identify some signs and symptoms of mental illness, and talk about the importance of reaching out.
If you or anyone you know is having thoughts of suicide, maybe lost a love one and is having trouble coping with stress or anxiety please reach out. There are people waiting to help you. Below is a web link, phone number, and text number for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
