It is quite a thrill to have Steve Forbert join the show this week.  A truly unique and legendary talent in American music, Steve is a folk singer with a troubadour’s soul, a poetic lyricist, and self-described ‘calm lizard.’ He lends his warm and serene voice to the podcast for a fascinating and fun talk with Mark and Lowell. They discuss everything from Steve’s early success as a singer-songwriter in New York City’s thriving 70’s music scene, to the good and bad in dealing with major music labels, and how Steve has always stayed true to himself throughout his incredible career. Steve is a Grammy-nominated folk-rock singer and a pioneer of the Americana genre of music, a mix of folk, roots-rock, and storytelling.
