Brian Kiley - Part 1

The brilliant comedy writer and stand-up comedian Brian Kiley is here this week. Brian is a two-time Emmy award winner who wrote for Conan O'Brien for over 27 years including as head monologue writer. He's written on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," and has performed stand-up on talk shows including "Late Show with David Letterman," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and in clubs around the country for years. He is an author, an actor, a father and a prolific poster of genius jokes on Twitter.

Brian and the guys do a deep dive into writing and Brian's experience in the business of comedy. In this Part 1 of 2 they discuss his upbringing, his early days in comedy, working on "Late Night" in the early days after Conan took over the show, and the art of monologue writing.
