Baseball has crowned a new champ, and we have several months until pitchers and catchers report for spring training(feb.16)... still that little glimmer makes the painful reality that baseball is over a little easier to swallow.

Something that is not so easy to understand is BIG10 and their decision to start playing. This mostly politically charged decision  has lead to the the inevitable COVID-19 outbreak this week of Wisconsin's football team and cancellation of their game against Nebraska.  Proving that this is something that you can not wave a magic wand and make disappear, on a professional or collegiate level.

NFL proved to be enjoyable to watch with. the Steelers beating the Titans and upholding their undefeated status going into the much anticipated matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. This will be a hard fought game on Sunday at 1:00 and will reflect the cities grit that they represent.

Locally we our surrounding counties are holding football games and as we have been since day one of sports, we are hoping for the best but are very much reserved on Podcast Hill that this is a good idea, when out COVID-19 numbers are increasing by double digits daily.
