Two years after having to shut down due to soaring COVID-19 numbers, the city is now in a very different situation: most school kids no longer have to wear masks in city schools, and indoor businesses don’t have to request proof of vaccination anymore. But, as health experts warn, this doesn’t mean the pandemic is over. The State Health Commissioner, Dr. Mary Bassett, and the City Health Commissioner, Dr. Dave Chokshi, join Errol to reflect on New York’s response to the pandemic over the last couple of years and encourage New Yorkers to keep taking certain precautions.
