From 1969 to 1972 Dick Von Hoene graced Cincinnati local tv channel WXIX as The Cool Ghoul on the iconic "Screm In" telecast. Von Honene was a pioneer as a host of horror and science fiction movies, a predecessor for characters like Svenghoulie and Elvira Mistress of the Dark. Dick sadly passed in 2004 of a heart attack, but he casts a long shadow in the Queen City's media history. As Halloween approaches, we are ecstatic to have his daughter Vanessa Ives in the chatlab to recall stories of her charismatic father.
