Evelyn LaTorre's memoirs, "Between Inca Walls", is a fascinating account of a young woman with a taste for adventure and travel who joins the Peace Corp. She could not have known at the time where her decision to pick Peru as her first assignment might take her, but over fifty years later you get a real sense of her contentment and serenity during our discussion. Evelyn talks about her childhood growing up in rugged Montana, her move to the Golden State, the history of the Peace Corp, the influence of Covid on all our lives and her amazing family. Evelyn has another book on the way and we would love to have her back when that one drops.
