Episode 3: COVID-19 ALERT for millennials! AKA The Coronavirus

Jon Merril, MD, has joined us to provide the facts about COVID-19 for M!ll3nni@L$ (aka Millennials -_- ). Jon is the CEO of epitopeRX, a medical research company that focuses on the root causes of chronic diseases including the contributions of the microbiome, viruses, and bacteria to chronic disease. Jon has experience in machine learning as applied to the life sciences. He is also a serial entrepreneur who has started and managed several companies directed to commercializing healthcare technology – all of which have resulted in acquisitions or mergers into public and private entities. He is a seasoned inventor of many patents. Jon earned a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology from Oberlin College, a medical degree from The George Washington University.  Dr. Merril completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at the Washington Hospital Center and bioinformatics fellowship training at both Harvard Medical School’s Department of Computer Medicine and The George Washington University Medical Center. During his career, he has worked with leading virologists at the NIH on a variety of research efforts. Dr. Merril worked on several DARPA, NIH, and US Department of Commerce efforts involving the use of computer technology to enhance the delivery of therapeutics.
