Week 3 Preview: Tyrod's punctured lung & the real reason Russ hasn't received an MVP vote

The NFL season has entered its third week, yet the coronavirus does not quit. A friendly reminder from the Yahoo Sports NFL Podcast to keep wearing your mask. A reminder from the league apparently didn't land with coaches Jon Gruden and Sean Payton, who were both personally fined $100,000 after not properly masking up during the New Orleans Saints' Monday night loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night.

Staying in the AFC West, news came out on Wednesday that the reason for Tyrod Taylor's chest pains, which led to Justin Herbert's first start for the Los Angeles Chargers, was a team doctor accidentally puncturing Taylor's lung with a pre-game injection. Charles & Terez dive into this strange medical story and the legal ramifications it could have for the Chargers. (16:10)

Our experts also discuss the strange case of the MetLife Stadium turf, where the San Francisco 49ers lost Nick Bosa, Jimmy Garoppolo, Raheem Mostert and more to injury last Sunday while visiting the New York Jets.
