Michael Houlihan (LinkedIn: /michael-houlihan-2a24b818) is a guy who definitely doesn’t know how to sit still. He’s the CEO of Mainstream Superannuation Services  – a Superannuation Administration House, CEO of a small industry super fund, part owner of a Financial Planning firm and Director of a Research Firm, and that’s just his professional life.

He’s a wealth of knowledge in the finance space, which is why we sat down with Michael for a deep dive discussion into the history, the differences and the future of industry and retail funds, how to raise consumer engagement around super, why he believes the superannuation landscape will look vastly different in five years, passive vs. active investing and Michael’s process for choosing appropriate direct investments.

This episode is certainly relevant to all advisers and highlights some thought-provoking ideas and opinions on a wide range of topics.
