Sony is officially acquiring bungie for $3.6B - it's a deal that has been in the works for quite some time, bringing Bungie under the PlayStation umbrella while still retaining its creative independence. Unlike Microsoft's recent Activision-Blizzard acquisition, Bungie will continue releasing games on competing platforms (for Destiny and for future IP).
