WWE's Winter of Wishful Booking | Year in Wrestling 2021 Part 2 (ep.659)

KOP has discovered a pattern of giving hope and "wishful booking: of WWE Superstars in the dead of winter. KOP lays out the evidence going back 5 years of stop and start pushes and weak storylines.

Winter 2016:
Cruiserweight Classic that led to regular title matches on RAW.
Jason Jordan. He and Seth Rollins defeated Cesaro and Sheamus to capture the Raw Tag Team Championship. With the win, Jordan became the first person in WWE to hold the Raw, SmackDown and NXT Tag Team Championships. Dropped the belts at Royal Rumble.

Winter 2017:
Paige returns and forms Absolution with Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
"Titus Worldwide" with Apollo Crews and Titus O'Neil, then they added Dana Brooke.

Winter 2018:
The McMahons Will Once Again Run Raw and Allegedly Give Fans What They Want.
Vince McMahon addressed fans being unhappy with Raw lately at the top of the show this week and announced his family will once again be in charge.

Winter 2019:
Ricochet post US Title, feud with AJ Styles and Survivor Series spot.
Liv Morgan during the Rusev/Lana/Lashley Love Triangle
The push for Humberto Carrillo during Paul Heyman's short lived Executive Director era.
Aleister Black and Buddy Murphy were in a featured feud that got a match at TLC.
The start of Drew Gulak's mentorship with Daniel Bryan.
NXT Invasion on Smackdown leading to Survivor Series. When much of the SmackDown roster was unable to return from the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia following airplane mechanical issues. Adam Cole vs. Daniel Bryan. Rhea Ripley confronted Charlotte Flair and then Charlotte won the Rumble and challenged for the NXT title.

Winter 2020:
Keith Lee was scheduled to be pushed but Vince nixed on it. He lost to The Miz and John Morrison in a Handicap Match.

Winter 2021:
Liv Morgan pushed again to challenge Becky Lynch.
Toni Storm challenging Charlotte Flair.
Big E's title reign feeling like Kofi's reign.
Austin Theory made the new Chosen One by Vince McMahon
