Host Mike Merli checks in with Lela Florel of Preserve Remington Woods in Bridgeport, a local group and movement fighting to save the Remington Woods from development and destruction.

The Remington Woods are 422 acres of forest meadow wetland located in Bridgeport and Stratford. The Woods are home to 70 species of birds and other diverse wildlife.

Preserve Remington Woods is calling for the Remington Woods to be preserved in its entirety as a living forest community of plants and animals, a wildlife and Nature preserve, in its natural state, in perpetuity, with walking paths and protected habitat.

The next Planning and Zoning Commission meeting will be November 16th.
